Seven separate buildings make up the Hempstead Apartments in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood, each with something special to offer. All are beautifully maintained and attractively landscaped, with reserved offstreet parking and garages available. Within easy walking distance to the heart of Squirrel Hill, residents can enjoy shopping, restaurants, cafes and more that are all close to home!Even better?Public transportation and the Walnut Capital Shuttle stop right outside your front door. Being so close to Pittsburghs respected universities and medical centers make this the perfect place for graduate students, young professionals, and couples.

One of Pittsburgh's most popular neighborhoods sits nestled between two large regional parks in the city's East End. Although the city divides it into Squirrel Hill North and Squirrel Hill South, locals treat it as one neighborhood, the city's largest. Squirrel Hill's stability remains part of its appeal, as do its rolling hills, walkable and lively business district, excellent schools, and tranquil streets. With homes ranging from midrise apartments to mansions, residential options are available here for a variety of different tastes.

It's a great neighborhood, close to Murray and Forbes Avenues, where all of the shops and restaurants are. There are lots of young professionals, and grad students, but the neighborhood is very kid and pet friendly. The building is old, but mostly very well maintained. Parking is the biggest issue, with very limited street parking and even more limited reserved parking for a monthly fee. July September are especially difficult with the high moving turnover. Squirrel Hill's historic charm combined with an easygoing attitude make it a great place to live for families, and proximity to schools make it an ideal location for students as well. Carnegie Mellon University and Chatham University sit in Squirrel Hill North, and to the west lies the University of Pittsburgh in Oakland. Many residents work at the universities or nearby medical research complexes.

Hempstead Properties is located in Allegheny County, the 15217 ZIP Code, and the Pittsburgh School District attendance zone.
